Are you looking for a school easily accessible on public transport or close to major road networks?
Premier Education are working with wonderful primary school in the Westhoughton area, who wish to appoint a teaching assistant to join their hard working, successful and forward thinking school, within KS2. This role is to support a lovely pupil in Year 6 to support them academically and socially for their final year at primary school. They have autism and learning needs, but no challenging behaviour.
The successful applicant will have proven experience of working within KS2 and have a range of strategies to promote good behaviour and establish a purposeful learning environment. Excellent organisation and communication skills to deal with both children and adults are essential along with the ability to work under supervision and as a team member.
We are looking for someone who:
* Has knowledge of the KS2 curriculum
Be able to work with parents of this pupil and communicate on a daily basis with them
* Are willing to put the needs of the children at the centre of all they do
* Have a good attitude and are keen to develop their existing skills and learn new ones
* Are willing to contribute to the wider life of the school and the parish
* Committed to maintaining the Catholic ethos of the school and support our Mission Statement and aims
* A team player with the ability to develop strong relationships with parents, pupils, staff and outside agencies
