You’ll be a vital contributor to our small but passionate team and play a pivotal role in ensuring our IT infrastructure is reliable, secure, and optimised to support Blue Light Card's mission of delivering exceptional service to the emergency services, NHS, social care, armed forces and Teacher communities. We’re seeking a dependable and motivated individual who can effectively manage the challenges of business-as-usual tasks while also contributing to, and at times leading, projects and initiatives. As IT Systems Engineer you’ll be an enabler of these ambitions. What You’ll Do Manage and maintain Microsoft-online based systems, network infrastructure, and Windows/Mac desktop systems, across the organization Administer and optimise Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint) and Entra iD/Azure AD, including user provisioning and license management Manage SaaS applications and contribute to the adoption and optimisation of cloud services Troubleshoot and resolve issues from the service desk Implement security policies and ensure compliance with organisational standards Assist in the deployment of new hardware, software, and system upgrades Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to plan and implement IT projects, including migrations, upgrades, and system integrations Document processes and update technical documentation for key systems What You’ll Bring Significant experience in IT systems administration or related roles Strong experience with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID administration Working knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs) PowerShell scripting experience Experience with device and asset managementPreferred experience Working with standard security frameworks, including ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, NIST CSF Experience using Microsoft Intune and configuring/managing Windows Autopilot Experience with Jamf or Kandji MDM tools Atlassian Jira and Jira Service Desk administration Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals, CompTIA A+, Network+/Cisco CCNA or equivalent Our Culture Our members, partners and colleagues are at the heart of everything we do.
