Section EngineerExcellent opportunity to join a Tier 1 main contractor leading a large package of works on HS2.Location: BirminghamSalary: £45,000 basic + Car or Car allowance + Lodgings + PackageThis role will see you joining an exciting time as the main package of works gets underway for the viaducts and precast segments being installed across the route. With 2 years to deliver this section before the track and infrastructure begin the installation.Your role is to manage a small team of Site Engineers and supporting workforce in installing the viaduct sections. A perfect option would be coming from a bridge / structures background in the infrastructure sector. Looking to step into major projects and be apart of HS2 through the structures section of works.Role and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:Checking drawings and quantities and ensuring that the calculations are accurate for the workPlanning the work and efficiently organising the plant and site facilities in order to meet an agreed programme of deadlinesLiaising with any consultants and/or sub-contractors engaged in site engineering aspectsOverseeing quality control and safety on the site and ensuring that regulations are adhered toResolving any unexpected site engineering issues be it temporary works or other problems that may ariseReporting in to the Sub Agent on your section of works.Experience/Desirable:Civil Engineering Degree or HNC / HND as a minimum requirementWorking on either of the following types of projects focused on structures:Highways / Roads, Water, Flood defences, Environmental, Rail, Airports.To Apply:You must be living and authorised to live and work in the UK to apply for this position.To apply please apply via this advert or contact Phil Crew via LinkedIn or call The Resolute Group on 01332 653 911All applications are kept confidential and will not be used without your permission.
