Community Support Worker

Our client is looking to recruit community carers to work in the local area to supporting the elderly and vulnerable with a variety of tasks to ensure they can live as independent as possible in the comfort of their own homes. You will ideally have experience working with dementia and palliative care but all training can be given. THIS ROLE DOES NOT OFFER SPONSORSHIP / SWITCH . Benefits Salary of £31,240 per annum based on a 40 hour week, including bonus and pension payments If part time i.e. 16 hours, £12,100 Overtime paid hourly on top of contracted hours. Hourly rates of Enhanced bank holiday rates Staff accommodation available if required Mileage and travel time paid Free Uniform Pool cars available for work Ongoing training and support Support to gain Care Certificate / NVQ 2/ NVQ 3 Support to progress to management level support with NVQ 5 Twice yearly bonus scheme , based on average hours worked ( t&cs apply) Full and part time permanent contracts Away days and monthly incentives Responsibilities Supporting service users in their day to day living, ensuring they are safe and comfortable and living as independently as possible Helping with toileting , washing , dressing , meal times and medication Accompanying to appointments, shops, events and days out Being a familiar face, someone to make them feel comfortable and safe in your presence and be improving their lives wherever possible. Requirements Ideally previous experience within a healthcare setting would be preferable but full training given if no experience. All experience considered including domiciliary, hospital, nursing homes as well as supporting family members. Genuine passion and commitment to supporting the vulnerable and be able to empathise is critical. You must be a driver with a valid driving licence, ideally with access to car, though pool cars available Be able to work every other weekend Friendly, trustworthy and caring nature Able to work shifts (7am-2pm and 4pm-10pm) or one or the other.
