Location: Bath (1 day per week), with occasional travel to Reading Our client requires an experienced Systems Safety Engineer to work on a variety of projects primarily in the Defence and Nuclear sectors. Working with clients to develop and deliver safety-critical systems, we are looking for engineers who have worked as Systems Safety or Software Safety Assurance and looking to continue their career progression. Skills/ Experience Experience of System and Software safety standards such as BS EN 61508, RTCA-DO-178 A/B/C, BS EN 26262, Def Stan 00-55, Def Stan 00-66, BS EN 50128. Experience working on high SIL/DAL projects producing documentation demonstrating compliance to these standards. Skilled in hazard identification and analysis techniques such as Functional Failure Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis and SIL determination. Capable of performing reviews of Project artefacts developed as part of transformation initiatives, including hardware and software integration. Produce Project Safety reviews. Undertake and manage Safety Critical Risk Assessments (SCRA). Experience of working in Defence, Nuclear or other Safety Critical sectors is preferred. SC or DV Cleared Due to the nature of the work, applicants are required to hold SC Clearance and be eligible to obtain DV Clearance. Therefore, applicants must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 10 years and be sole UK Nationals.
