As part of the wider team, in agreement with the Class Teacher, your role will involve planning and delivering strategic intervention activities, either for individuals, or smaller groups. You will work alongside other staff to evaluate and adjust learning objectives and activities, monitoring children's responses against agreed action plans, recording observations and progress, and adjusting these activities to suit individual needs.The role will involve pastoral support for children, both in and out of the classroom, and there will be a need to support children with special educational needs on a one-to-one basis, or within small groups. Suitable experience and current knowledge of SEND within a primary setting would be advantageous. Our school supports an ethos of continuous improvement. As such, we consistently review our practice, offer highly effective and inclusive training, and support all staff with CPD according to their individual needs and ambitions.Redesdale Primary School is part of the wider North Tyneside Learning Trust (NTLT) group of 47 schools.This post is permanent, 35 hours per week, term time only, over 195 days.The normal weekly working pattern will be Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:00pm daily.Please outline your skills, strengths and any experience within your application.
