Lead Test Engineer

Role OverviewWe are seeking a Lead Test Engineer to Support the verification and validation of the ABD Solutions autonomy stack. This will involve the development of highly automated test equipment to automatically verify all parts of the autonomy stack. These include functional, functional safety, and cyber security requirements.This role offers the exciting opportunity to work in a rapidly evolving and expanding field, applying novel technologies, techniques and measured to overcome complex challenges. This is a hands-on, fast-paced, collaborative development environment.What will you be doing?Own the Validation and Verification Strategy for ABDS products, leading planning effort for each phase of the V&V life cycle.Derive test cases to demonstrate the functionality and robustness (edge cases testing, fault injection, failure mode testing) of sub-systems comprising actuators, controllers and software.Develop highly automated test equipment to automatically verify all elements of the autonomy stack.Undertake on-vehicle testing and evaluation at our test sites and at remote locations worldwide.Manage defect detection, tracking and resolution through JIRA and integrated toolchains.What are we looking for?Bachelor's or master’s in software or mechatronics engineering, or equivalent experience in relevant engineering sector.Demonstratable experience designing system tests for commercial or automotive products, or industrial machinery.Expert knowledge of developing test applications in Python.Experience in integrating automated test harnesses to continuous build & test servers, such as Jenkins or TeamCity.Experience in robotics, electro/mechanical systems, industrial automation system.Why join us?ABD Solutions are part of the AB Dynamics Group, an innovative, dynamic listed business with a friendly and supportive working environment.
