Assistant Accountant

Assistant Accountant Central London Office Based Role £40,000 A Travel company based in Central London are looking for a switched on and experienced Assistant Accountant to join their growing team. The client is looking for someone who has accounts experience and who has working knowledge of Sage. Assistant Accountant Key Responsibilities: * Manage accounts payable and ensure timely payment of invoices. * Perform technical accounting tasks such as financial statement analysis and preparation. * Preparing statutory accounts. * Handle tax related matters, including filing tax returns and resolving tax issues * Conduct account reconciliation to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies. * Perform account analysis to assess financial performance and identify areas of improvement. * Working with bank reconciliations to ensure accurate recording of transactions. Assistant Accountant Required Skills and Attributes: * Proven experience in accounting is needed for this role. * Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices * Working knowledge of Sage is a must * High level of accuracy. * Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office Suite. * Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
