About Arqiva: Arqiva is a leader in media connectivity and services for broadcasters and media companies. Building on its heritage as the operator of the UK’s TV and radio broadcast infrastructure, Arqiva is expanding into new technologies and markets. This role will drive strategic growth and positioning within the media sector.
The role
* Input to the overall approach and development of Arqiva’s positioning in the media sector, providing updates to Arqiva’s long-term vision and Corporate Strategy as required
* Manage the strategic planning process for the media business areas in line with the long-term plan for Arqiva, working collaboratively with the Finance and Commercial teams
* Lead a broad range of strategic projects to support the development of the broadcast, media and related areas of Arqiva’s business – including, analysis of ways in which core business performance can be maximised, proactive identification of growth opportunities and input to the long-term development of the broadcast business across television and radio
* Provide regular analysis of the competitive landscape and key trends within the media sector impacting Arqiva
* Assess and support on any relevant partnering or M&A activity within the media space
* Support Arqiva’s regulated business function, understanding how the regulated business operates and providing support to the Head of Regulated Business
* Work collaboratively with other parts of the Strategy and Regulatory team, including the public affairs, regulated business and international spectrum areas, to meet the team’s overall objectives.
The person
* Experience in a strategy role either in consultancy or from within the media sector.
* Experience and knowledge of the UK’s media sector.
* Expertise in analysis including researching, developing business cases and reviewing market.
* Expertise in crafting Powerpoint and Word to communicate and convey storylines convincingly.
* Knowledge of strategic planning and strategy development.
