Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Salary: £75 – 85k I am working with an exciting space-tech company who are building the world’s first space-based cellular broadband network! They are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join their team in shaping the future of communication. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology that powers satellite systems whilst supporting the entire life cycle of the spacecraft. Key responsibilities: Design, develop, and test new embedded software from concept to integration and full system deployment Develop software for mission-specific microcontrollers to control spacecraft systems Provide software support for Assembly, Integration, Test, Launch, and Commissioning phases of satellite development Engage in hands-on debugging and board bring-up activities when required For this Embedded Software Engineering role, we are looking for: Proficiency in Embedded C/C++ programming Experience with board bring-up Knowledge of bare-metal programming and RTOS Experience with networking and communication protocols e.g. I2C, SPI, CANBus Preferred skills in safety-critical software development (e.g. automotive industry) (Remote Work Supported) Note: Not able to offer visa sponsorship What’s next?
