Buying Manager

Buying Manager / Full time / Permanent / £55,000 - £60,000 My client, a leading home furnishings retailer, are looking for a Buying Manager to join them on a full-time permanent basis. As a Buying Manager in this role, you should have strong knowledge of the retail industry and be confident in supplier negotiations and contract management. You should also be a confident communicator and have the ability to build strong relationships. Role and Responsibilities: Lead sourcing and category management to ensure product ranges are in line with market trends and customer expectations Ensure strong relationships are built and maintained with new and existing suppliers Negotiate terms, pricing and contracts Stay on top of industry trends Ensure profitability is maintained and remain competitive in the market Collaborate with wider teams such as sales and marketing to drive and increase sales Stay up to date with market research and emerging trends Ensure products are in line with company standards and quality Essential skills: To be considered for this role you must have knowledge of flooring products such as LVT, laminate, solid wood flooring etc At least three years of experience in a similar role as a Purchasing Manager Previous experience in supplier negotiation and contract management Strong and confident communicator Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and in an independent way Package: £55,000 - £60,000 base salary Fully office based at two London office locations Excellent retail discounts Birthday off Buying Manager / Full time / Permanent / £55,000 - £60,000
