The Role
As a Construction Planner, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects. Reporting directly to the Operations Directors, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and reviewing comprehensive project programmes and schedules. Your work will ensure that our projects run smoothly, stay on track, and meet both time and budget targets.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Development & Maintenance:
Create, maintain, and update detailed and logic-linked critical path Contract and Target Programmes, method statements, and logistics plans from bid to delivery stages.
Project Management & Coordination:
Oversee and manage project timelines, ensuring that each phase is completed on time and within budget, collaborating closely with site teams, project managers, engineers, architects, and design managers to align on project objectives.
Reporting & Documentation:
Produce critical path progress reports, forecasts, and plans for internal teams and stakeholders, highlighting project status, timelines, risks, and proposed mitigation strategies.
Risk Management & Problem Solving:
Proactively identify potential project risks and develop effective mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
Resource Planning & Cost Management:
Work alongside the internal Costing team to accurately calculate and allocate resources for each project phase, ensuring optimal use of time and budget.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: Proven experience in construction planning, ideally within PBSA, BTR, or similar sectors.
Skills: Proficient in ASTA construction project management software, with a strong understanding of critical path analysis.
Collaboration: A team player who can effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Problem-Solver: Ability to foresee potential issues and develop solutions swiftly to avoid delays.
Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to planning and documentation, ensuring nothing is overlooked.
