Trainee Animal Technician

We are currently looking for a Trainee Animal Technician to join our clients team at a Biological Services Facility in York. In this role, you'll support with animal welfare for researchers, as a trainee, you'll have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of animal care, from husbandry to health checks and facility upkeep - Don't worry, you'll receive plenty of support and on-the-job training to make sure you feel confident in your role and understand the importance of your work. Basic Requirements: * Basic GSCE’s Qualifications is required. * Animal Care Qualification or genuine interest in the care of animals. * Practical experience caring for animals in a work or voluntary capacity is essential. * Husbandry experience with rodents is beneficial. * Excellent time management and communication skills, both written and verbal. * Ability to multitask and work as part of a team. * Good IT skills. * Willingness to undertake training in accordance with Home Office requirements.
