Job summaryWe are Manchester Local Care Organisation - an exciting, new public sector organisation that is bringing together NHS community health services and social care services in the city. Main duties of the jobThe Children's Community Complex Care Team provides care and support to a range of children and young people with varying healthcare needs, some who are technology dependant, in a variety of settings across the Manchester area.The complex care team iscurrently looking to recruit senior nursing assistants to provide support and care to a range of young people across the city.The post holderwill become part of a team of registered nurses and carersworking with families and young peopledelivering a range of high quality care packages.You must be a highly motivated and dedicated individual who has the ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service over a 24 hour/7 day period. Travelling across the Manchester area you will hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work purposes. It is essential that you hold the NVQ/QCF Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification to apply for the role. Posts are full time but we will consider part time applicants. The complex care team is part of the Integrated Children's Community Specialist Services which include children's palliative care team and special need school nursing team. There will be opportunities to work with these areas as part of the wider community nursing team.
