Social Worker Children & Families

SW Locums are looking for a Qualified Social Worker to work in Bristol, in Family Support Team 3 and will cover CP and court work. The team are looking for somebody to start as soon as possible. You will be expected to have substantial experience of working in a similar role in the UK for at least 2 years post qualifying. This is an established and well managed team offering manageable caseloads, regular supervision meetings and free training. * Essential: A qualification in social work, Diploma in Social Work, CQSW, CSS. * PTA, PQCCA. * Educational attainment to A level or Degree standard. * Registration with Social Work England * Right to work in the UK * Enhanced DBS issued within the past 12 months Duties: * To carry out the duties and responsibilities of the Children Act 1989, Children Act 2004 and other relevant legislation. * To establish and implement service and care plans for children and their families in accordance with local and national procedures. * To manage a caseload which may include children and families with complex needs and require multi-agency co-ordination. * To maintain electronic client records systems in accordance with departmental procedures. * To maximise life chances for Children in Need and Children Looked After. * To contribute to team plans and the achievement of agreed targets for Children in Need, Child Protection, Children Looked After and Care Leavers. * To participate in training of staff in Child Protection and Children Looked After. * Development in accordance with Personal Development Plans agreed during Performance Review. * To adhere to and promote the council's Equal Opportunities Policy and adopt practices that are inclusive and anti-discriminatory.
