Closing date: 25th October 2024 Salary: £27,000 to £29,000 dependent on experience and location (+bonus +benefits)   Manage quality control, liaise with key teams, and help shape the future of learning at Hodder Education. Everyone here is proud to be in the business of opening doors and minds.   What you'll do The reprint function comprises some Editorial, Design and Production processes. The editor’s responsibilities span all the lists published by Hodder Education, and so they will work closely with all the Product and Content teams. To liaise with Production, Product Managers, Editorial, Design and Picture Research (as applicable) To be the Editorial point of contact for reprints and corrections, and take ownership of the reprint logs/have responsibility for keeping them up to date To review Critical Stock Reports against the corrections logs to assess the need for reprint corrections, locating PDFs (or other files) To monitor weekly Reprint Status Report and Sign-off Reports from Production and report progress, flag and manage delays To run regular schedule reports and other WIP reports as required To be the main point of contact for external sources and the Customer Service team, for notification of possible errors; to troubleshoot, resolve or redirect them appropriately and promptly To uphold robust quality control standards and to communicate any issues or concerns regarding quality control to the project teams or managers Checking/investigating accuracy/validity of corrections before logging To mark up reprint amendments for print and/or digital (pdf-only) content, ensuring that corrections are appropriate and checking for any knock-on effects to the surrounding content. To record changes on the reprint corrections logs.
