Position: Ocean Import Operator
Location: Wythenshawe, Manchester
Salary: Up to 33,000

We seek an Ocean Import Account Manager to join their Retail team based in Manchester and provide exceptional service to nominated clients.
Your key responsibilities as Ocean Import Operator:
- Provide an exceptional level of service to all customers.
- Manage and oversee the import process for sea freight shipments from origin to delivery
- Quote clients and negotiate rates with suppliers to optimise cost-effectiveness for clients
- Monitor shipments and update clients
- Prepare customs documents for the customs department
- Liaise with suppliers and hauliers ensuring smooth delivery and monitor shipments to update clients regarding any delay
- Invoice and cost files to ensure correct profit margin.
- Visit clients with the sales team and help build strong relationships
Requirements:
- End to end Ocean Freight Operations knowledge
- Working knowledge of the International freight forwarding industry.
- Be able to communicate effectively with clients, suppliers and your wider team
- Have a keen attention to detail
- Develop trust and respect from colleagues & clients
- Identify problems early & respond in a timely fashion
- A proactive and professional persona
