Structural Engineer – Leeds Salary - £30,000-£35,000 plus package Pension scheme 33 days holiday (including bank holidays) – can increase with length of service 39.75 hour working week Bonus scheme Company events Structural Engineer – Minimum 5 years post graduate experience. Competitive Salary, Biannual Performance Related Bonuses, Pension Scheme Our client, a very well established family business is looking to recruit a Structural Engineer to join their team. They are specialists in the field of structural steelwork design, fabrication and installation across multiple sectors. The company has grown rapidly in the last decade, whilst contracts have increased in scope and complexity the core values at the heart of our family run company have remained. This allows us to provide a personal touch alongside the professionalism and attention to detail which we afford every project. Their continued expansion has led to an opportunity for an experienced structural engineer to join the Design Team. Role Requirements •Extensive knowledge of structural steelwork design, relevant design codes and design software. •The candidate must have the ability to work on several projects at any given time and delegate work where necessary. •The candidate must have the ability to communicate confidently and clearly with clients, Contractors, Architects and third parties. •Experience in steelwork design using Tekla Fastrak Design Suite (Portal Frame/Building Designer/TSD/Connections/etc.) and CAD. HNL also uses the Quiksoft Suite and Bentley RAM Structural Systems 3d package. •A successful candidate will also have the ability to produce supplementary hand calculations where necessary. The ability to produce Excel spreadsheets for design of specific details would be an advantage. •The successful engineer will have excellent design and technical skill, have the ability to collaboratively work in a closely-knit in-house design team and lead projects from inception to completion. •The candidate must have strong business acumen in relation to the financial aspects of schemes. •Ability to rapidly produce tender designs suitable for production of fixed price quotations to clients. •Ability to design all aspect of hot rolled, cold rolled and connection design.
