Job Title: Pipefitter – District Heating Centre Location: Clapham Junction, London Rate: £23 per hour Hours: 50 hours per week Duration: 3 months Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced Pipefitter to work on a District Heating Centre project based in Clapham Junction, London. This is a temporary position for 3 months with the potential for extension, offering a competitive rate of £23 per hour. As a pipefitter, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing pipes that carry water, gas, and heating systems within the District Heating Centre. You will be working 50 hours per week, ensuring the timely and safe completion of the project. Key Responsibilities: * Install, repair, and maintain pipe systems for heating and gas distribution. * Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications. * Ensure work is compliant with safety regulations and standards. * Collaborate with other trades to meet project deadlines. * Perform pressure tests to ensure the integrity of the systems. * Troubleshoot and repair any issues that arise during installation or operation. Requirements: * Proven experience as a pipefitter, preferably with experience in district heating systems. * Ability to work from technical drawings and plans. * Strong understanding of safety protocols. * NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Pipefitting or Plumbing. * Valid CSCS card. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
