About the role: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our team on a part-time basis, covering 3 days per week. This crucial role focuses on providing targeted support to students who need additional help in their learning journey. The position has become available due to the retirement of a valued team member, and we are eager to welcome a new individual to uphold our high standards of educational support. With a class size of approximately 30 students, this role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a supportive and dynamic environment, making it ideal for someone passionate about fostering children's academic growth and personal development. Application Requirements:• Relevant Qualifications: Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.• Experience: Previous experience working with Key Stage 2 students, ideally in a similar educational setting.• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to engage students with varied learning needs, and proficiency in implementing booster and intervention strategies.• Knowledge: Understanding of SEN and experience in supporting students with additional needs. Key Responsibilities:• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, focusing on literacy and numeracy.• Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons and interventions.• Support the social and emotional development of students, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.• Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the teacher and contributing to progress reports.
