Financial Accountant

This is a fantastic opportunity to join on of the midlands most forward thinking and growing businesses in their city centre based office.Our client is a leading company based in Birmingham, seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. If you’re passionate about numbers, financial reporting, and want to contribute to the success of a growing organisation, we’d love to hear from you!Key Responsibilities:Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with regulatory and accounting standards.Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reports.Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.Provide financial analysis to support business decision-making.Reconcile balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and other financial documents.Collaborate with internal departments to ensure financial information is accurate.Oversee audits and work closely with external auditors.Maintain and improve financial systems and processes.Stay up to date with financial regulations and ensure compliance.Qualifications and Skills:ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent.Proven experience in a financial accounting role.Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting.Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.What We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits package – paying up to £60,000 dependent on experience.Opportunities for career development and progression.A supportive and collaborative work environment.Hybrid working options.Pension scheme and other benefits.
