As a Speech and Language Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing tailored 1:1 and small-group support to students with speech and language difficulties, assisting them in developing effective communication skills.
• Collaborating with the SENCO, teachers, and external speech and language professionals to implement bespoke intervention programmes.
• Supporting students in accessing the curriculum and fully participating in classroom activities, ensuring their specific needs are met.
• Monitoring progress and adapting support strategies to ensure each students individual communication challenges are addressed.
• Encouraging students social and emotional development, helping to build their confidence and ability to interact effectively with peers and staff.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience or a strong interest in Speech and Language Therapy, or previous experience supporting students with communication needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with students, staff, and parents.
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach, committed to helping students overcome communication barriers and reach their full potential.
