Mechanical Fitter Lichfield, Staffordshire. Industrial Machinery Business. £30,000 per annum + overtime + bonus (2x yearly) + 30 days holiday + private healthcare. Working Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm (Monday – Friday). A supplier of a diverse range of industrial automated machinery has an opportunity for a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join their close-knit assembly team. Successfully operating from their Lichfield site for multiple decades, this business offers an interesting, technical challenging and secure role for an engineer motivated by ‘hands on’ mechanical work. This role will suit a mechanical engineer who has a range of fitting skills within industrial engineering. Working within a team environment, you will be tasked with the fitting and welding (MIG) of mechanical machinery components. Role & Responsibilities. * Assembly and fitting of mechanical systems and components. * Welding and small fabrications. * Reading and interpreting mechanical engineering drawings. * Competently using power tools and test equipment. * Inspect and check fitted parts and sub-assemblies. * Adhering to all company H&S procedures. * Working on a diverse range of mechanical fitting projects. Required Skills & Experience. * Mechanical Fitting experience on industrial size equipment. * Time served engineering background; no specific qualifications required. * MIG Welding experience (desirable). * Knowledge of hydraulics or pneumatics (desirable). * Able to work effectively in a team environment. * Ability to work safely and efficiently to time frames.
