Job Title: Junior / Graduate Energy SpecialistSalary: £28,000 - £33,000Location: Nottingham (office-based with occasional site visits)Sector: EnergyJob Type: Full-timeMy client is at the forefront of the energy sector, playing a key role in the decarbonisation of heat and contributing to the UK's Net Zero ambitions. They are seeking a recent graduate in engineering or a related field and will provide full training for the role. The ideal candidate will join their fast-growing team, supporting clients in meeting their legal obligations for Display Energy Certificates (DECs) and Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs).The office is based in Nottingham, and you will be required to attend the office two days per week, with occasional travel to client sites.ResponsibilitiesEnergy Audits & Heat Decarbonisation Plans (HDPs): Carry out detailed energy audits for schools, analyse HVAC, lighting, and heating systems, and develop HDPs by recommending low-carbon solutions such as heat pumps and renewable energy integration.Technical Proficiency & Reporting: Utilise energy modelling software (e.g. RETScreen, eQuest), collect and analyse energy data, and prepare clear, actionable reports with cost-benefit analysis and implementation strategies.RequirementsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering disciplines such as Mechanical, Environmental, Energy, or a related fieldRelevant coursework or project work in sustainability, energy efficiency, renewable energy systems, or carbon management.Full UK driving licenceStrong communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholdersUnderstanding of the energy sectorHighly organised and a quick learnerThis client is actively interviewing candidates — please apply today!Note: The client does not provide sponsorship now or in the future.
