Role: Procurement / Category Manager (IT)
Location: Sheffield (approx. 2x onsite per week)
Salary: up to £56,021 per annum
Our Higher Education client are seeking a proactive and experienced Procurement Partner / Category Manager to join their dynamic team to take over the management of large contracts that are set to expire, with a particular focus on IT procurement and contract management. You will act as a key leader within the department, with line responsibility for 1 member of the team, and additional opportunities to grow your team in the near future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Building: Lead and manage members of the team, with the opportunity to build your own team
- Contract Management: Manage and oversee major contracts, especially those related to IT, ensuring compliance, performance, and strategic value for the university.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including senior management and various departments, to ensure their procurement needs are met effectively and efficiently.
- Strategic Partnership: Support the procurement strategy and collaborate closely with other team members to drive forward the wider objectives of the university.
- Legislation Compliance: Stay up-to-date with the latest procurement legislation, including the upcoming Procurement Act, and ensure that all processes align with current legal requirements.
MCIPS qualification (or studying towards) highly preferable.
