SEN Teacher needed in Bournemouth! Location: Bournemouth Position: SEN Teacher Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary Salary: Dependent on experience Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join our supportive team in Bournemouth, working full-time across the KS3/KS4 curriculum on a temporary basis (October - December). About the Role: As an SEN Teacher, you will: Deliver creative and engaging lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEMH challenges. Support students across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering academic growth, personal development, and emotional wellbeing. Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour and engagement in learning. Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and pastoral staff to provide holistic support for students. Engage with parents, guardians, and external agencies to ensure students' academic and emotional progress. Contribute to the wider school community and help implement strategies that promote SEMH student success. Key Responsibilities: Plan, deliver, and assess lessons in line with the KS3/KS4 national curriculum. Use differentiated teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students. Manage behaviour in the classroom and support students in developing coping strategies. Foster positive relationships with students to support their emotional regulation and social development. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification. Proven experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs. Strong understanding of SEN and SEMH-related challenges. Ability to adapt teaching styles to suit individual learning needs. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
