Job DescriptionMechanical Design Engineer Coventry £35,000 - £50,000The Recruitment Bunker are recruiting exclusively for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer.Overview of the Role:Mechanical Design EngineerSalary - £35,000 - £50,000Holidays: 25 days plus 8 Bank HolidaysPension / Healthcare / Life InsuranceEmployee Referral SchemeLocation: CoventryCompany OverviewThe DRVN Automotive Group are a sector leading automotive group, specialising in the design, manufacture, and distribution of luxury automotive brands, recognised globally for our commitment to innovation, quality, and engineering, centred around a world-class customer experienceResponsibilitiesCompany Policies: Manage and follow the quality, health, safety, and all policies of the companyManage tasks with design and project engineering supportSupply CAD models and drawings suitable for producing components by various manufacturing processes.Take projects through to manufacture and therefore be responsible for every detail of the designDesign and development of CAD, administration activity; BOM (Bill of Materials), DVP (Design Verification Plan), Family Tree and Release activity in-line with the companies NPI process and customer specific processImplement GD&T into Mechanical designsWork closely with the Engineering Analysis team (FEA) to meet design targets and drive the most cost-effective solutionsWork closely with Manufacturing to agree feasible manufacturing solutions and to control the engineering change process. Ensure Design for Manufacture (DFM) philosophy is integrated into designsCommunicate with the Lead/Principal Engineers to ensure you have the required level of support and help when requiredSupport Programme team to ensure project deliverables are achievedCommunicate design solutionsMaintain communication with internal and external customers on a regular basisParticipate in formal and on the job training which will be provided regards the use of software and design techniquesAlways support your team.Essential SkillsEngineering degree or equivalent within a relevant subjectGood Understanding of CAD and CAE Literacy and ability to use Catia V5CATIA V5 – Part modelling/Drafting and surfacing capabilitiesEngineering design knowledgeAbility and awareness of design to manufacturing processUnderstanding importance of managing engineering change requests and claim managementAbility to work efficiently within your roleStrong communication skillsExcels in organisational skills and time managementA drive to learn and improve at every opportunityWillingness to support othersPositive attitude towards mastering challenges and changesMust have IDLR/Full Rights to Work in UK - Sponsorship or Work Permits will not be accepted/ provided.Desirable SkillsGD&T, can demonstrate good understandingPlease note we do not provide sponsorships to those who require it and will only accept applications from those who have full rights to work in the UK with no restrictions and IDLR/Full Settlement status.
