With more than two dozen companies (Trapeze being one of them), representing 12 brands, Modaxo comprises 2,000 people, operating from 35 offices in 21 countries around the world.KEY PURPOSEWe are currently recruiting a full-time (40 hours per week), IT System Administrator. The individual will be based in the Castleford office, with the occasional option to work from home.Role responsibilities:Perform server administration tasks (ex: user/group, security permissions, group policies, print services); research event-log warnings and errors. Monitoring system environment for performance and any potential issues or capacity limitations. Manage SharePoint sites and role-based permissions. Implementation of security solutions directed by Group level IS directives. Monitor core systems/ server environment health using management tools, and respond to hardware issues as they arise. help build, test, and maintain new servers when needed.Manage network servers and technology tools.Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.Troubleshoot issues and outages.Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls.Upgrade systems with new releases and models.Assets and patch management of internal infrastructure and for managed services.Maintain internal infrastructure requirements, including laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates, support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments.Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups.Assisting in application support with the service deskKey Competencies:Proven success in an IT system administrator role Experience with or knowledge of operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, systems performance-monitoring tools, active directories and Microsoft Azure and virtualization technologies.Knowledge of cloud hosting on Microsoft Azure or AWS services Network installations and monitoring. Experience of firewalls and VPN solutions is desirable. Problem analysis. Knowledge of Windows OS , Virtualization technologies and cloud hosting.
