Salary: 35,000 - 45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

W Talent are delighted to be working with a leading industrial manufacturing company based in Leicestershire. We are looking for an experienced and driven Buyer to join their growing team of Purchasing experts following a period of rapid growth.
Our client has a diverse range of products and are seen as one of the best providers in their industry, both nationally and globally.
This is a hybrid role and a fantastic opportunity for someone wanting to develop their Purchasing career with a large industrial business in the area.
As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient procurement of materials and components to support the manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with established suppliers to source raw material and component parts, securing competitive pricing, quality, and lead times
- Identify new suppliers and engage in RFQs and onboarding for new products where necessary
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and new suppliers
- Ensuring inventory levels are maintained efficiently, minimising stock risks
- Take responsibility for supplier performance and conduct regular reviews to ensure adherence to contract terms
- Collaborating with the production and planning teams to ensure materials meet production schedules
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- 2+ years' experience as Buyer within a manufacturing industrial environment
- Strong negotiation skills with a focus on cost-saving and supplier relationship management
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Strong Excel skills
- Must have full right to work in the UK and live close enough to commit to 3-4 days per week near Leicester
