Job Title: Site Manager
Job Type: Temporary 6 months - starting ASAP
Location: Needham Market
Salary: £250 - £270 CIS
Working Hours: 7.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our team for a 6-month commercial project near Needham Market. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-profile commercial/industrial construction project. You will be responsible for day-to-day site management and will work closely with the Project Manager, acting as the Number 2 on-site.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the construction site and ensure all work is carried out to the highest standard.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct staff to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.
- Ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times.
- Monitor progress and prepare reports for the Project Manager.
- Handle site inspections and ensure quality control throughout the construction process.
- Assist the Project Manager with planning, scheduling, and forecasting project requirements.
Desirable Experience
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification mandatory.
- First Aid certification mandatory.
- CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card mandatory.
- Proven experience in managing commercial or industrial construction projects.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of current health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working on similar commercial/industrial projects.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders.
