Business Development Manager Full-time | Permanent | Remote Salary: £40k - £65k (dependent on experience) + excellent benefits + bonus Our client, a leading sustainability company in the UK for over 30 years, is expanding its Communications team. They work with top-tier blue-chip organisations, many of which have partnered with them for over a decade. Key Highlights: * Location: UK-based, with some attendance at the Chichester head office. * Salary: £40k - £65k, plus benefits and bonuses (DOE). * Role: Help expand business in a growing, sustainable company. Key Responsibilities for the Business Development Manager: * New business: Identify and prospect new opportunities with new and existing customers. * Lead qualification: Collaborate with the Communications team to qualify leads from marketing efforts. * Service development: Create sales offerings that align with market trends and customer needs. * CRM management: Maintain accurate sales data on MS Dynamics. * Collaboration: Work with other teams to ensure smooth operations and meet client needs. * Feedback: Gather feedback from prospects to fine-tune service offerings. Ideal Candidate Profile for the Business Development Manager: * Sustainability Focus: Strong passion for sustainability and understanding of sustainability-related topics. * Sales Experience: Proven success in B2B sales, ideally in subscription models. * Consultative Approach: Able to succeed in a consultative sales environment and build long-term client relationships. * Hands-on: Proactive in helping colleagues close opportunities and achieving both individual and team targets. * Entrepreneurial Mindset: Driven to succeed in a dynamic and technical industry. * Team Player: Demonstrates leadership, works well with colleagues, and maintains high professional standards. * Relationship-Oriented: Builds strong relationships within the business and with clients. * Communication Skills: Strong communicator with the ability to engage credibly at senior levels. Required Skills for the Business Development Manager: * Strong sales skills with experience closing B2B deals. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. * Experience in managing and mentoring junior staff. * Integrity, ethical standards, and the ability to lead by example.
