Design Coordinator

Mivan is a dynamic and progressive specialist joinery and interior fit-out contractor who has built a reputation for excellence and innovation and has an international track record of achievement. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Design Coordinator based at our Head Office in Antrim. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design service provided on joinery and fit-out contracts, managing an in-house design team and working alongside the project management team, production, the clients multidisciplinary team, external consultants, specialist sub-contractors and suppliers. Key responsibilities: Managing the projects design development in collaboration with the project manager, the client and Mivans architectural consultant. Monitoring design costs on projects against budget allowances. Providing design advice e.g. on building regulations, fire protection, etc. Ensure the design team produces drawings accurately, efficiently and according to programme. Chair design meetings. Proactively resolve design issues. Maintain adequate records, manage flow of information and provide regular progress reports. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in architectural design and/or construction projects including experience of progressing projects from RIBA stage 4 onwards for design and build contracts and a knowledge of BIM processes.
