Transport Assistant

One of our well established clients has a fantastic opportunity for one individual to join their team, Our client has served the meat industry nationally for over 20 years and they are now looking to expand the driving team. This will be a full time permanent position, working Monday-Friday, you will be assisting the Transport Supervisor with drivers and route planning. Main Duties include: * Confirming delivery arrangements * Allocate jobs to drivers * Monitoring the location of drivers by using telematics * Identify potential problems and resolve in a timely manner * Support operations team when needed * Good geographical understanding * Being able to maintain relationships with drivers and clients * Assist with driver compliance and vehicle compliance The ideal candidate will have the following: * Previous transport experience preferred * Excellent admin and customer service skills * Problem solving * The ability to work under pressure in a busy environment * Great communication skills Hours will be 42 hours per week Salary to be negotiated DOE 20 days annual leave in addition to statutory bank holidays, rising after 5 years Company pension scheme On site parking Wellness programme (EAP)
