Key Responsibilities

Due to the continuing success and growth of our UK team, AESG is seeking a Principal Consultant to support the growing External Wall Advisory division and work alongside our other specialist disciplines. The role will be to support the successful delivery of UK projects, including independent project management of complex construction projects, covering all aspects of Fire and Facade Engineering.

This role requires you to be an experienced engineer with high levels of technical experience, and provide support/conduct PAS 9980 risk-based assessments and EWS1 to our clients in addition to traditional Fire & Life Safety design and engineering services.

AESG has developed an industry-leading software assessment tool using the PAS risk assessment methodology and our market reach is growing. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated Principal Consultant seeking a team leadership role within a growing and ambitious company with a unique service offering.

The Role Will Include:
  • Leading a strong team of engineers and consultants
  • Working closely with clients to ensure an exemplary level of quality
  • Continuing the growth and development of our External Wall Advisory offering to the UK and international markets
  • Working with our multidiscipline team to ensure coordinated outputs
  • Execution of Strategy, Business Development and Commercial Management
The Ideal Candidate Fits the Below Profile:
  • Expert understanding of fire engineering principles
  • Experience in numerous complex and prestigious projects across the UK
  • Strong communication skills, a thought leader in the industry
  • Motivated and self-driven (entrepreneurial outlook)
  • Committed to technical excellence
  • Good relationship builder (internal and external)
  • PAS 9980 risk-based assessments and EWS1 experience
  • Excellent technical knowledge in Fire Safety/Engineering within Residential, Commercial and Hotels sectors.
  • A good understanding of Fire and Facade Engineering
  • A good appreciation of the importance of complementary specialisms such as computer modelling (CFD), Structural Engineering, and Building Services in the design of buildings
  • UK experience preferred
