Quantity Surveyor

My client are a UK leading building envelope and facades contractor who supply and install cutting-edge glazing and cladding systems to a number of leading main contractors across the country. Projects they work on include commercial, student accommodation and high-rise residential schemes, education, healthcare, hotels, and leisure. They're now recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join their business and work on a range of exciting projects across the North West. As the Quantity Surveyor, your duties will include: Measure and assess quantities of materials and labor required, as well as work completed, for accurate billing. Prepare cost reports, financial forecasts, and updates for project stakeholders, including cash flow projections. Assess the financial implications of design changes or variations and update budgets and contracts accordingly. Track the progress of work on-site to ensure it aligns with contractual timelines and budget. Identify, assess, and manage financial and contractual risks, including potential claims and disputes. Prepare and submit interim and final payment applications to the main contractor, ensuring prompt payment. Assist in resolving disputes related to costs, valuations, and contract terms. Manage payments to subcontractors, ensuring they align with the agreed schedule and work completion. Handle final accounts, including the settlement of claims, retention release, and final payments.Requirements: 2-3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry Degree qualified in quantity surveying/or similar (HNC, etc) (Desirable) Strong analytical and communication skills.
