Senior FS Regulatory Associate (7+ PQE) – Top-Tier City Law FirmLocation: LondonContract: Fixed-Term Contract (FTC), minimum 4 months (Hybrid basis)Start Date: ASAPOur client, a leading international City law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate or Senior Counsel to join their Financial Services Regulatory team on an urgent basis.Key Responsibilities: As part of this top-tier team, the successful candidate will provide regulatory advice across a variety of financial services clients, focusing on:Payment regulation: Payment Services Regulations 2017, E-Money Regulations 2011, AML compliance, BCOBs, card scheme rules.Investments regulation: COBS, MIFID, MIFIR, CASS.Delivering regulatory guidance and drafting for complex projects, including:Project 1: Reviewing and drafting terms and conditions for an international bank covering interest rate swaps, spots & forwards, FX, confirmation of payee requirements, reimbursement of payee, and Consumer Duty provisions.Project 2: Drafting policies and procedures for a loan provider applying to the FCA to become a UK Authorised Payment Institution.Project 3: Advising on the regulatory framework for a claims management business integrated within a multidisciplinary practice (MDP) involving a law firm and a litigation fund.Project 4: Providing guidance on UK regulatory frameworks for NFTs and crypto assets.Candidate Requirements:7+ years PQE with solid experience in payments and/or investment regulation.Strong technical expertise in areas such as the Payment Services Regulations, E-Money Regulations, and relevant FCA rules.Experience advising banks, payment institutions, and other financial services firms on compliance and regulatory matters.Ability to work autonomously and manage complex projects with minimal supervision.Exceptional client-facing skills and the ability to lead client relationships effectively.Why Join?This is a rare opportunity to join a top-tier law firm and contribute to high-impact projects in the financial services sector.
