I am currently supporting a school in Telford and Wrekin to recruit for a Chemistry Teacher to start in September 2024. About the school: The all-inclusive comprehensive Telford and Wrekin school are currently going through an exciting period of growth and are looking to expand their current staff. The school has over 1000 students on roll, and the curriculum allows students to draw on knowledge, understanding and skills developed to prepare for life after their schooling years! Due to the school’s location, it is easily accessible for Shropshire, Staffordshire and West Midlands applicants. Over View: Role: Chemistry Teacher Timetable: Full Time preferable Start: September 2024 Duration: Autumn Term initially, with scope to continue there after. Key stage: KS3/KS4 Requirements and Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Science, Chemistry or Education, or a related field (PGCE or QTS preferred). * Proven experience teaching Science at the secondary level, preferably in a similar educational setting. * Strong knowledge of the Science curriculum. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills. * Dedication to promoting a positive learning environment and supporting the holistic development of students. * Commitment to upholding the school's values and ethos. * We will seek full referencing and DBS checks will before placing. Key Responsibilities: * Plan, prepare and deliver exciting lessons that cater to all students * Develop schemes of work and lesson plans that are in accordance with the curriculum * Provide a supportive and positive learning environment for all students. * Identify and select different instructional resources and methods to meet students' varying needs. * Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching practices and support student success.
