Transport Planner

Role: Transport Planner Location: Bedford Hours: 13:00 – 22:00 Monday – Friday Salary: £33,780 An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Transport Planner to join our client’s successful team. The role: Work in conjunction with another transport planner to ensure that all orders received have a transport provider allocated Route plan all of fleet deliveries. Operate with a fleet of 10 vehicles, visiting an average of 75 customers per day, rising towards 100 during peak periods of the year.   Book 3rd party carriers when required. Complete driver debriefs. Ensuring vehicles are booked for scheduled servicing and maintenance in accordance with agreed guidelines. What we would like from you: Previous planning experience is required Must have experience of routing multi drop deliveries around the UK Strong Excel skills. Familiarity with using navigation tools and planning software. Quick decision-making ability Ability to multitask and work under pressure. Ability to collaborate with other team members and departments. Ability to coordinate with managers, drivers, and customers. Good time management If interested in this role, please apply below.
