The Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to be based in Chorleywood. This role is critical in supporting our project bidding process, ensuring that our estimates are accurate, competitive, and align with client expectations. Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for industrial construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overheads.
- Bid Preparation: Compile and submit comprehensive bid proposals, working closely with project managers and senior management to align with strategic objectives.
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to ensure that our estimates are competitive and reflect current industry trends.
- Documentation: Manage and organize all necessary documentation related to estimates, including drawings, specifications, and other relevant materials.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and evaluate potential risks associated with project estimates and propose mitigation strategies.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and build strong working relationships.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Estimating Experience: Previous experience as an estimator within the construction industry, ideally with a focus on industrial or commercial projects.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and numerical skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in estimation software and tools. Knowledge of current construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present estimates clearly and persuasively.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Location: Based in or willing to relocate to Chorleywood.
