We have a an exciting opportunity a Lead Accountant to join us on this exciting journey. Are you enthusiastic about the idea of joining the world's largest Monopile Factory? Your contribution will be crucial in building the foundations for a future with Net Zero emissions. Your role as a Lead Accountant will be integral to the success of this ambitious venture. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a range of accounting activities in line with established procedures. You will independently manage tasks such as ledger maintenance, reconciliation, cost analysis, and inventory control, while ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial data. Key duties include reconciling bank accounts, processing payments, and maintaining general or subsidiary ledgers. You will also be responsible for cash operations and preparing complex budgets and financial reports. With minimal supervision, you will apply your in-depth knowledge of accounting systems, UK financial regulations, and industry standards to support the development and analysis of annual operating budgets and performance projections. You will also be involved in continuous process improvement within the accounting team, preparing tax returns, and serving as the key contact for liaising with in-house specialists and external advisors. The ideal candidate will hold an accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA, with a proven track record in a finance role. Strong business acumen, advanced technical knowledge of GAAP, excellent critical thinking and communication skills, and experience using accounting software systems are essential. A meticulous attention to detail and significant experience in management reporting processes will be crucial in ensuring success in this role. in return, we can offer an attractive base salary, 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays, a 5% employer pension contribution, Medicash, and life insurance (x4 salary).
