Description Our local government client is recruiting a Multi-Skilled Trader - Community Adaptations Officer. This role is not just a job but an opportunity to play a significant part in our community. The responsibilities include minor adaptations, such as installing internal and external grab rails, external concrete steps, and positioning internal and external grab rails. Your proven handyman experience or building trade experience will positively impact our community. Responsibility Your role is crucial. You will carry out minor adaptations, such as installing internal and external grab rails and external concrete steps and positioning internal and external grab rails to the residences and vulnerable people's homes in the community. Your work will make a real difference. Qualification – Essential * GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics. * Recognised City & Guilds Apprentice trained or NVQ level 3 or equivalent * Advanced – Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and Social Media. Essential - Skills, Abilities, & Experience * Demonstrates a comprehensive awareness of good construction safety practices and the application of safe work systems, including an understanding of working at heights and using ladders. * Ability to organise your workload, appropriately prioritise and order necessary materials. * Able to plan, work unsupervised, and communicate in writing using the PDA to follow instructions, procedures, and policies. * Ability to work as part of a team, taking pride in the work completed and actively contributing to the team meeting the performance targets. * Responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of families, including vulnerable adults. * Ability to provide the highest standards and quality customer service, including understanding how to work with customers from various backgrounds and with multiple needs. * To keep accurate records of materials used against a given job on the mobile device provided. * Able to organise materials, tools, and equipment required to complete planned work, arrange for impressive stock to be replenished as needed, and highlight any difficulties. * To maintain and contribute to controlling the impress stock and other company property held on any assigned company vehicle. * Ensure the security, care and appropriate use of stock, tools, materials, plant, equipment and any other items issued. * Must be honest, punctual and reliable, and demonstrate good time management skills. * Must value difference and show respect and sensitivity towards others. * Able to demonstrate reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and others. Essential Compliance Requirements * 5 Years References * Enhanced satisfactory clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service * This post requires a Fully clean UK driving licence * A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role.
