National account manager (food)

Steele Charles are delighted to be working in partnership with a new client on this, a dynamic National Account Manager vacancy within the food industry. This is a new role, which has been created in line with the continued growth of this exciting ambient food brand. If you're looking for your first step into National Account Management or are already a NAM and want to join a business where you can really make a difference and contribute to growth this is the role for you. This will be based on a hybrid directive, with the particularls yet to be decided but the expected split is one day per week on site. Key Duties: * Develop, agree and implement the commercial strategy, agreed with the Senior Management Team. * Category Management. Ensure efficient management of the product range utilizing all aspects of category management, including promotions, sales. * Liaise with technical, purchasing, and production departments of the business that impact upon sales and influence these to deliver forecast requirements. * Manage communication and relationships internally and externally to ensure all relevant parties are fully informed on applicable issues and effective decisions are made. * Develop and sustain a close working relationship with the Business' customers. * Actively seek out commercial opportunities for new commercial propositions for the business from new and existing customers to achieve business goals. * Liaise with marketing and product development managers to understand product range and identify unique selling points, i.e. history of product, safety, quality.
