Electrical Maintenance Engineer, PLC

Maintenance Electrician Location: Burton-on-Trent We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our Maintenance team based in Burton. Key Details: Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:00 Salary: £45,000 per annum Holidays: 33 days per year (including bank holidays)Working as part of the Maintenance team, you will ensure that all equipment operates safely and efficiently to maintain production standards. You will receive full support from the Maintenance Leadership Team. Key Responsibilities: Repair and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment, and components Fault diagnosis and problem-solving for electrical systems Regular testing of electrical systems and equipment Performing planned and predictive maintenance activities Supporting other team members in completing maintenance tasks Ensuring electrical units function effectively in the factory Adhering to safety regulations and procedures, including completing risk assessments and applying LOTO proceduresEssential Skills & Qualifications: Time-served apprenticeship and HNC in Electrical Engineering/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification Experience with SCADA systems, AC/DC motors, and motor speed control Knowledge of open-loop, closed-loop, and three-term control (pressure, temperature, speed) Understanding of load cells and weighing principles Willingness to complete a High Voltage courseDesirable Skills: Experience working with High Voltage equipment Familiarity with Siemens PLC controls Strong knowledge of single and three-phase systemsPersonal Qualities: Good communication skills Strong problem-solving abilities Self-motivated and able to work under pressure Able to work on your own initiativeEmployee Benefits: Pension scheme with life insurance Service-related payment Employee discount scheme Employee assistance programme Discounted vouchers Bike-to-work scheme (salary sacrifice)If you're ready to join a dynamic team and bring your skills to a new challenge, apply now to #Sam Website
