Position: Art and DT Technician Location: Tower Hamlets Salary: Competitive, based on experience Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and organized Art and Design Technology (DT) Technician to support our students and staff in delivering high-quality practical lessons. The successful candidate will assist in preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the smooth running of both the Art and DT departments. Key Responsibilities: Assisting with the preparation of materials, tools, and equipment for art and design technology lessons Supporting teachers in practical lessons and demonstrations Ensuring all equipment is safe, well-maintained, and stored properly Managing stock levels and ordering supplies when necessary Providing technical support to students during lessons, helping with their projects and designs Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the workshops and studios Assisting with displays of students' artwork and DT projectsRequirements: Previous experience as an Art or DT Technician or in a similar role is desirable Knowledge of working with tools, materials, and equipment in both art and design technology settings Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teaching staff Strong communication skills and a positive, supportive attitude Commitment to health and safety regulations in the workshop and classroomWhy Join Us?
