You will be required to plan ahead to ensure we are set up to deliver success, this will include looking at upcoming bookings, liaising with the relevant department for any special requirements from the guest and working closely with the team to ensure they are in a position to deliver great service to the guest. You will take full ownership of any guest challenges with the aim that we resolve this immediately and recover their experience. You will know how to deal with uncomfortable situations and you will be able to think on your feet and live the spirit of kindness and generosity before process when dealing with difficult situations. In this role you will ensure the team are functioning to the highest level and standards are met at all points. You will coordinate the service with the assistance of the bar team to ensure the service received by the guest is at the highest level. You will work with the supervisor team to manage the daily costs involved in running the restaurant and bar, this would be managing the payroll for example. You will be expected to implement a specific training plan for each individual and assist them in achieving the goals that they set. You will be expected to tie this in with an up selling program to drive revenue.
