Group Accountant

Highly successful FTSE 250 Group require ACA or ACCA qualified individual, with a proven track record in either Audit or Accountancy, for a newly created Group Accountant position, that has arisen due to continued expansion. About the role Reporting to the Group Finance Manager the Group Accountant will undertake a varied and challenging role focussing on Group Consolidated Accounting & Reporting, Technical IFRS Accounting support and assisting with the Annual Group Audit. Key duties include: * Group consolidated accounting for across a multitude of corporate entities * Monthly financial reporting including P & L, balance sheet and cashflow * Integration of newly acquired entities into the consolidated total * Preparing group monthly management accounts for board review * Resolving group accounting matters such as acquisitions, goodwill impairment test and new accounting standards * Ensuring the company meet all relevant IFRS standards * Managing the review and completion of all UK statutory accounts * Weekly Flash Reporting and Quarterly bank reporting About You * You will be ACA or ACCA Qualified with a proven audit background ideally gained within a Top 10 Accounting Firm * Applicants will have gained audit experience within a PLC environment and have a good knowledge of IFRS * The successful candidate will ideally have gained exposure within a Group environment and have knowledge of consolidation systems What's on offer * Superb prospects for career development * Company bonus * On-site parking * Hybrid working - 1 day working from home * Income protection * Contributory pension * 25 days holiday
