£500 per day

Link Adviser for primary schools

Our Education Advisory Service works closely with schools to provide a high quality Link Adviser support and challenge programme. To maintain the quality of this programme we draw on the experience of professionals who have had significant leadership experience in schools, local authorities and/or recent Ofsted inspection experience.

About the role:

  • Provide primary schools with both challenge and support to ensure accurate self- evaluation and identification of key priorities for improvement. For most schools this will involve at least termly visits;
  • Work in partnership with primary schools that require additional support to ensure rapid improvement;
  • Provide challenge and support for governing body members to enable them to hold school leaders to account. This includes providing, where commissioned, Headteacher performance management advice;
  • Participate in LA and school commissioned school reviews;
  • Attend termly meetings and training sessions to support the Link Adviser programme and its quality assurance.

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • A passion for raising standards of education for all Wandsworth pupils;
  • Skill in working effectively with headteachers, governors and school staff;
  • Experience of a significant leadership role within schools;
  • Ideally experience of Ofsted inspection;
  • Ideally you will have previous experience of school improvement work.
  • You must be able to provide accessible and flexible physical support in schools as required.

We offer a competitive daily rate. The number of days worked across the academic year can be negotiated.
