Role: Placed Youth Support Worker
Salary: Up to £29,053 per annum to include 2 sleep in's per week. 3 Days on including 2 sleeps 4 off shift pattern
Hours: Full time Days 8am-10pm plus sleeps
Location: Staffordshire area
Please note a Full UK driving licence is desirable for this role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our team in providing essential support to young people aged 16 to 18 in supported accommodation. This role involves working shifts from 8 AM to 10 PM plus sleep ins, offering a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide daily support and guidance to young residents, fostering a positive and safe living environment. Engage in effective communication to build trust and rapport, enabling residents to express their needs and aspirations. Handle challenging situations with patience and resilience, ensuring the well-being of all individuals in your care. Maintain accurate and thorough records, documenting interactions and progress to support safeguarding and effective service delivery.Qualities Required:
Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically, fostering an open dialogue with young people. Commitment and Reliability: A dedicated approach to your role, ensuring consistent support and presence for the residents. Outcome-Driven Mindset: Focused on achieving positive outcomes for young people, empowering them to reach their full potential. Ability to Handle Challenges: Experience working with challenging behaviours, demonstrating problem-solving skills and emotional resilience. Lone Working Capability: Comfortable working independently, while adhering to safeguarding protocols and maintaining a professional standard of care.How you'll be rewarded:
