Deputy Chef Manager
Location: WELLINGBOROUGH
Hours: Minimum 21 hours per week plus additional event days/evenings on weekends during race season (March November)
Rate: £13.50 per hour
Contract: Permanent
Are you ready to join an action-packed venue and become a vital part of our catering team? We are looking to expand our existing team and appoint a Deputy Catering Manager to support the department head.
Responsibilities:
Weekend Duties:
- Cooking and serving food and drinks to customers.
- Overseeing catering staff and their roles.
- Handling cash and card payments, cashing up at the end of the day, and replenishing float throughout the day.
- Addressing customer queries and complaints professionally.
- Maintaining and cleaning the appearance of all outlets.
- Ensuring quality control of products sold and minimizing wastage.
- Adhering to and maintaining Health & Safety standards, including HACCP, COSHH, Food Safety, and reporting incidents as per procedures.
- Using EPOS/till systems efficiently.
Weekday Duties:
- Monitoring and replenishing stock levels.
- Creating purchase orders and ordering stock.
- Conducting stocktaking, including date rotation.
- Setting up for events, including deep cleaning of units.
- Managing cash floats.
Skills and Attributes:
- Level 2 or higher in Food Hygiene.
- Knowledge and experience in event catering.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a well-presented demeanour.
- Highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Charismatic with a confident, enthusiastic personality.
- Flexible and able to work under pressure.
- Computer-literate.
- Confident in up-selling and promoting products and services.
- Full UK manual driving license.
