Lead Project Professional - Construction

Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Lead Project Professional - Delivery (Construction) to join their team in Barrow-in-Furness. The role involves managing major construction projects within a highly regulated environment. This is a contract position with hybrid working arrangements available, requiring 1-2 days a week in the office. Key Responsibilities: Managing major construction project lifecycles within a highly regulated environment Controlling and reporting on all commercial and financial aspects of projects from concept to completion, including internal and external supply chain activities Discharging client duties in compliance with CDM regulations 2015 Maintaining and managing a safety-focused environment and culture aligned to the high-risk aspects of projects undertaken Job Requirements: Essential: Experience managing major projects of significant complexity and multi-million pound value Team leadership experience Proficient stakeholder management experience with effective communication at all levels, both internally and externally Preferred: Qualification in Project Management and/or Engineering/Construction, with an established skillset in project management, such as development of plans, business cases, and risk management, or equivalent experience Project management qualifications along NEBOSH (general certificate in health & safety) IOSH, SMST would be advantageous Additional Information: The role may occasionally require work on construction sites, though it is mainly based in the office.
